The BG William O. Darby VFW Post 8845 of Fort Smith, Arkansas is proud to be a representative body affiliated with the Western Arkansas Veterans Coalition (WAVC).

The WAVC is a non-partisan organization comprised of Arkansas affiliates of nationally chartered Veteran Service Organizations. 

 

The philosophy of the WAVY is that, by working together on issues of mutual agreement, participating organizations can harness the grassroots support of their members, families, and communities to accomplish far more than by working on these initiatives separately. 

 

Wee advocate for and promote interests of the entire veteran community, their families and survivors as well as educate the public on the extraordinary demands and sacrifices associated with a career in the military. We provide input on matters of veteran interest to Congress, state constitutional officers, state legislators, as well as county and city elected officials and appointees.
